Transportation has been arranged for the first week of school for Southside. These bus routes and times were created by a computer so please make sure that you are at the stop at least five minutes prior to the bus arrival time. 

 

This morning bus routine will be in effect until 8/27, which is Paul Cuffee's first day, PC is  the other school that we will be sharing buses with for the school year. We will be sending out the bus stops and times sometime this week.  

 

The morning bus schedule is attached to the email. Please choose the stop that you will be at for your child to be picked up by this morning bus. 

 

Parents who do not want their child to attend the  extended day program (3:15 - 4:00), will need to pick up their child at 3:15 each day, no later than 4:00.

 

Southside will have one bus departing at  4:00 pm.  Attached please find the 4:00 bus schedule.  The afternoon  dismissal will be like this all year. We will reevaluate transportation needs and how it is working after a few weeks to see if we need to improve anything. 

 

Please be mindful that  in the first two to three weeks of school, we are trying to coordinate and make needed adjustments with transportation to make it work smoothly and safely. Bus passes will be provided after the first week of busing. 

 

 After a couple of weeks, the buses will be consistent as they will be ingrained into the traffic patterns and parents schedules.  The dispatch number for Student Transportation of America (Ocean State) is 401-388-5001.
